Explosive and Flammable Chemicals is designed to help you meet the training requirements of OSHA 29 CFR 1910.1200(h). You will learn about the elements of combustion and flammability, and you will also learn about safe work practices for explosives and flammables.

Participants will learn how to:
- Identify the elements that make up the fire triangle.
- Recognize the kind of fire extinguisher that can be used on each type of fire.
- Identify physical hazards associated with chemicals.
- Define flash point and flammable limits and describe how you can detect flammable conditions.
- Describe GHS labeling requirements and interpret label information.
- Describe how flammables are controlled in the work environment.
- Explain how to properly store and dispose of flammables.
- Name the characteristics of explosives and how they are handled and controlled.
- Describe proper handling and storage procedures for compressed gases.
